The Hermetic Museum

First published in Latin in 1678, this collection of writings from ancient alchemical writers faithfully instructed all disciples of the Sopho-Spagyric Art how the Philosopher's Stone could be found and held. Serving as a compendium to the early history of chemistry, this new unabridged paper edition combines two volumes into one and includes all original illustrations.

The Lost Arts, December 6, 2007

"First off, Let me say that there are few who will be capable of utilizing this text in the transition and transmutation of elemental values from one composition to another. In saying that, I will not begin speaking of the arts within this summarized epilogue of refreshment. I will tell you there are some versions of this text available in a series of prints that were extreamly limited. These texts will cost a much higher amount, as they are of a full version content.

To keep things simple and to the point, this is an excellent reference for the everyday chemist on up to the alchemic arts. You will not learn Alchemy from this book, but you can use it as a reference. The arts are not shallow as to be some ideal you get out of a book, beware of such approach.

Tempest not the Fates"
